Mangaluru, July 25: MLA JR Lobo inspected the spot where a small connecting bridge on the Kulshekar- Saripalla stretch had collapsed due to rain. He assured that the bridge repair works will be completed within a month.

Lobo said, a temporary way has been made in a private land and already the repair works have begun.

The alternate road can be used for the movement of light vehicles. But the heavy vehicles cannot move on this road.

For this work, about 4 lakhs may be needed, informed an MCC official.

MLA Lobo responded to the grievances of the locals and assured of releasing funds for the tarring works of the stretch from Saripalla to Ummikan Maidan.

MCC member B Prakash Alape, bus owner Valerian Lobo, Naveen Chandra Suvarna, Sarosh D’Souza and others were present.
