Mangaluru, September 1: Re-evaluation is has to be done on the effects of controversial Yettinahole project which has witnessed the massive opposition of the people of the district, said MLA J R Lobo.

Addressing a press meet at his office here on Monday, August 31st; he said while implementing the Yettinahole project, the government has to take the reports from experts about how the project might affect the people of Karavali. Whether it effects the environment? How much water is available in Yettinahole? About all these facts the government has to collect exact information from the experts. Later by obtaining the consent from people, the government has to continue, he said.

The work on clearing the doubts of the people over this project has to be done. After obtaining the people’s consent, the government can decide on implementing this project, said J R Lobo.

There are serious drinking water woes in Kolar. We have concern on this. But we need to think on other alternatives to address problems existing there, expressed J R Lobo.
