Mangaluru, 26 Jul 2015: MLA J R Lobo inspected a culvert that was collapsed owing to torrential rains located between Umikan – Saripalla near Kulshekar at municipal limit, here on Saturday July 25 and offered assurances of reconstructing in a month.
The alternative route has been developed on the private property as temporary arrangement and the reconstruction of culvert has already begun, said MLA Lobo. The alternative route is fit for light vehicles and heavy vehicles should take far away route, advised MLA Lobo.
The work would cost civic body about Rs 4 lac, said municipal officer.
MLA Lobo also offered assurances of releasing funds under MLA’s local area development fund, to asphalt the road between Saripalla – Umikan maidan, in response to locals demand.
The local corporator B Prakash Alape, Naveen Travels bus owner Valerian lobo, Navinchandra Suvarna, Sarosh D’Souza and others were present.
