Mangaluru, 7 Jun 2015: I aim to provide the most basic amenities that are essential to Mangaluru city besides to develop the city in an organized manner to enhance its beauty. I take keen interest for the development without any political motive, said Mangaluru south MLA J R Lobo.

MLA Lobo was speaking after releasing the funds for developing access road to district court, here on Friday June 5.

‘Rs 11 crore released by public works department for every MLA has been fully reserved for this road works. It could have been utilized to develop city roads for political gains and also gotten the appreciation of voters. The funds are earmarked to develop court road that is most essential,’ said MLA Lobo.

The inaugural of newly-built court was court long overdue. Its because of the extremely narrow access road it was postponed. The existing access road lies precariously on a hillock, while the expertise of Indian Institute of Science was sought to make it stable, added MLA Lobo.

The state public works minister Mahadevappa, DK district-in-charge minister Ramanath Rai, Congress leader Oscar Fernandes and others were present.
