Mangalore: Several instances of a single epic number is being issued to multiple voters. A complaint has been lodged with the election officer in this regard, said JR Lobo, MLA, Mangalore South.
“Same unique number has been issued to about 16,000 voters. This has been identified via special software,” he informed the media.
“Several families comprising of 18-20 members are found in Sullia. This in modern times seems to be not true. The election officer has been asked to check this issue.
It is also important to check proxy votes from Kerala border,” he said.
