Mangaluru, 28 Jul 2015: MLA J R Lobo convened a condolence meet to pay homage to the most cherished former President and Bharat Ratn Dr A P J Kalam here on Tuesday July 28.
Nearly thousand students from at least 10 colleges took part in the condolence meet.
MLA Lobo appealed to the school management to hold a special class this week for all the students exclusively to know more about the life and journey of Dr Kalam.
The mayor Jecinta Vijay Alfred, corporators A C Vinayaraj, Prakash Salian, Keshav Maroli, Kavitha Vasu, Shailaja, Nagaveni, Rathikala, Rajneesh, Abdul Latif, AICC member P V Mohan, KPCC member Mohammed Badruddin, Tejomaya, Prabhakar Shriyan, Denis D’Silva, T K Sudhir, Namitha D Rao, Balmatta – Government Women’s College principal Joseph, principals of different schools and colleges were present.
