Mangaluru, 08 April 2016: The state department of physically disabled and senior citizens distributed various facilities for the physically-challenged during the function held at zilla panchayat complex, here on Thursday April 7.
Mangaluru south MLA J R Lobo, MLC Ivan D’Souza, Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim, women and child welfare department deputy director Sundar Poojary, physically disabled department officer Annapoorna and others were present.
Eleven couples who have married the physically disabled were handed with Rs 50,000 each, wheelchairs to 16 people, tri-cycle to 3 persons, hearing-aids to 16 people were distributed on the occasion.
