Mangaluru, 08 Dec 2016: The foundation being laid with an effort to transform Pilikula into modern heritage village, said MLA J R Lobo. MLA Lobo was speaking after laying foundation at Pilikula lake, here on Wednesday, December 7.
He further said that the lake that is located in rural village will depict the life at bygone days; when it was served to wash clothes, quench thirst of livestock and irrigational needs. Further developments in this regard will benefit the local residents. The irrigation department has taken up the works and complete by 4 to 5 months, said MLA Lobo.
N G Mohan of Bharat Scouts and Guides, Pilikula Nisargadhama CEO Gayatri Nayak, Science Centre director Dr K V Rao, project engineer Chandrakant, administrator Babu Devadiga, co-ordinator Mohammed Beary, Bhuvaneshwar, Shesha Krishna of minor irrigation department. KSRTC director T K Sudhir and others were present.
