Mangaluru, 18 Aug 2015: MLA J R Lobo reviewed 2014 – 15 results of SSLC in the presence of nearly 100 heads of schools and block education officer here on Monday August 17. The review was done of schools that come under the purview of Mangaluru south legislative constituency.
As per the statistics, government schools recorded 81 percent result, aided schools 86 percent and non-aided schools 91 percent.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Lobo said that Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts maintained the top slots in education in the past, while it has been improved to 8th place from 29th place in Karnataka in the past academic year. PUC results are better in the district, while the preparations ought to be made now itself to improve the results of SSLC in 2016. He also laid emphasis on quality education.
