Mangaluru, 23 Mar 2015: MLA J R Lobo convened a meeting with the officers of fisheries department and fisheries leaders here on Friday May 22, to address the grievances of fisheries leaders.
MLA Lobo advised the fisheries officers to extend the deadline of legalizing boat records till June 10, to enable fishermen in this regard.
The fisheries leaders informed MLA Lobo that the third phase of desilting works on Bengre and Bunder area has not begun so far. The fisheries officers informed MLA Lobo that the tender will be called to lay jetty in Bokkapatna, Bolar, here during June 2015. MLA Lobo advised the officers to prepare a report to develop roads in Bunder area.
The five fishermen were awarded different facilities under special unit and ordinary project on the same occasion.
