Mangalore: Campaigning for Janardhan Poojary, Congress MP candidate, DK ended on a high note as thousands of supporters turned up at the rally organised by the District Congress on Tuesday, April 15.

The rally which was flagged off from Nehru Maidan, traversed through State Bank circle, Rao and Rao circle, K.S. Rao road, PVS circle, Ballalbagh, Ladyhill and culminated at Urwa market.

Addressing the party workers and supporters at Urwa market ground, elated Poojary said, “I thank all those who have supported me throughout the campaigning bearing the scorching heat and all difficulties.”

Speaking further he said, “The people of Dakshina Kannada are intelligent and determined. People from here, have contributed immensely towards the country’s progress.”

Taking a dig at Modi he said, “We don’t need the Gujarat model here. Gujarat governance is a hell created by Modi.”

J R Lobo, MLA, Mangalore South, Mahabala Marla, mayor, Moideen Bava, MLA, Mangalore North, Ibrahim Kodijal, Harikrishna Bantwal and Ivan D’Souzawere present among others.

The polling in Karnataka will be held on Thursday April 17.
