Mangalore, 12 Oct, 2013 : MLA J R Lobo visited Government Women’s Industrial Training Institute (ITI) that was recently relocated from Bondel, here to a new building located at Kadri Hills, here on Thursday October 10.

Government Women’s ITI principal Balakrishna informed that the Institute has been offering training in computer, electronic and mechanic professional courses, while it has been proposed to begin courses in electrician, MRAC during the academic year 2014 – 15. Besides, there are plans to introduce short term courses in hospitality sector, beautician etc, informed Balakrishna.

The girl students urged MLA Lobo to provide hostel facilities at the campus and the latter enquired about their grievances.

MLA Lobo instructed the project officers of Dakshina Kannada Nirmiti Kendra, in order to complete the building works by KGMSDC, Bangalore besides the existing new building block, to enable beginning classes of multi-skills development courses by January 2014.
