Mangalore: MLA J R Lobo campaigned for the congress Lok Sabha candidate Janardhan Poojary at Alake and New Chitra talkies area here on April 10.
MLA Lobo met auto drivers, and requested them to vote for the congress candidate. He also met shop employees and owners in the locality and requested them to cast their valuable votes to the congress candidate.
Speaking to the mediapersons Lobo said that we have completed most of the campaign. We have gone house to house for the election campaign and we have received very good response from the people of the district. The party workers are busy campaigning in their respective areas and getting positive response and support from the people. This shows that the Congress candidate will surely win in the 17th constituency with a huge margin.
We need a capable leader who can be the voice of the district and represent us in the parliament. Janardhan Poojary is a senior leader who is capable of bringing development projects to the district. If Poojary wins we will be able to make Dakshina Kannada the second developed district in the state.
Lobo urged all the people to come out in large numbers on April 17, and vote for Janardhan Poojary and the congress party. College students, local leaders and party workers also accompanied Lobo in his election campaign.
