Mangalore Aug 31: Ganeshothsava organized by jappinamogaru sarvajanika ganeshothsava samithi marked pomp and grandeur.
The celebration was inaugurated by MLA J R Lobo, MLC Ivan D’Souza. Health minister U T Khadar too attended the programme.
MLA JR Lobo congratulated the organizers for their efforts and wished it would go on many more years.
MLC Ivan D’souza who spoke on the occasion pointed out th leaders of Jappina Mogaru to Mangalore. He wished that many more leaders would come from that area.
Health Minister UT Khader remembered the celebrations even befor he was the MLA of the region.
After the formal programme, a grand procession was taken out from Jeppinamogaru to Kadakkaru, where the ganesha idol was immersed in water.
