Mangaluru, 14 Nov 2016: Dakshina Kannada District Congress Committee (DCC) in association with Jeevan Dhara Samaja Seva Pratistana, Kulshekar, KMC Hospital, A J Shetty Hospital, municipal body and district health centre, organized health checkup camp at Sacred Heart School, Kulshekar, here on Sunday, November 13.

Mangaluru south MLA J R Lobo after inaugurating the health checkup camp said, ‘The free health checkup camps are helpful for poor, middle class and students.  Serving the poor is dear to God.  Moreover, it’s a worthy deed to help the poor in their health needs as a tribute to former PM Indira Gandhi, on her 100th birth anniversary, because she was the succor of poor by introducing Land Tribunal Act in the country, thereby the poor peasants toiling in the farmlands got the rights of their lands to live with dignity. MLA Lobo distributed free first-aid kits to the students who were present on the occasion.

The local corporator Prakash B, Santacruz Convent superior Sr Annamalai, Sacred Heart School teacher Sr Jesilina, A J Hospital Dr Anjana, district health centre Dr Praveen, municipal health officer Dr Manjayya Shetty, Congress health Committee chief Prabhakr Sriyan, Denis D’Silva, KSRTC director T K Sudhir, MUDA member Shobha Keshav, Four Winds Communications proprietor Elias Fernandes and others were present.
