Mangaluru, Apr 17: The election office of Mangaluru South Congress candidate J R Lobo was inaugurated on Monday, April 17 on Kadri-Nanthoor Road.

Party workers Padmanabh Amin and Sadhashiv Amin formally inaugurated by lighting the lamp along with other dignitaries.

Senior Congress leader K S Masood addressing the gathering said, “All the party workers should work unitedly to make J R Lobo as the MLA. Irrespective of caste and religion, everyone should work tirelessly for the victory of Lobo.”

Lobo said, “This election is very important to save the constitution and maintain the peace and law and order situation in the society. People should give priority to the election for the development of the constituency.

“Though there are several educational institutions in the city, youth are deprived of employment. To maintain peace and harmony in the society and for the development, people should bring change and elect a good government in the state,” he said.

Pt Vishwanath Bhat, Riyaj Fiazi Kakinje and Fr Ronson Pinto blessed the occasion.

Dakshina Kannada Congress party election coordinator Shibha Ramachandran, J R Lobo’s wife Philomena Lobo, Senior Congress leader Suresh Ballal, Shashidar Hegde, Vishwas Das, Naveen D’Souza, Sabitha Misquith, Prakash Salian, T K Sudhir, MG Hegde and others were present.

Congress leader Ivan D’ Souza welcomed the guests.

Several party workers and followers of J R Lobo were also present.
