Mangaluru, August 1: As preparations for the annual feast of Bondel Church, the novena was inaugurated by MLA J R Lobo by hoisting the flag of the church in the premises here on Saturday August 1st.
Addressing the gathering, J R Lobo said, every year as part of the preparation for the annual feast 9 days novenas are held. During the 9 days of novena, let us pray to lord for our society, city, our country, to have good leaders to represent us and all the citizens of our nation.
Each one of us has a mission. Let us ask the Lord’s grace to help us fulfill the task given to us. I wish a grand success to the annual feast, he said.
Mayor Jacintha Vijay Alfred was the chief guest on this occasion. Speaking on this occasion she said, prayer is very important in the life of all. Let us pray for the blessings of the Lord in our lives throughout the 9 days of novena. I wish grand success to the annual feast, she said.

As preparation for the feast there will be a novena followed by mass from August 1st to 9th, at 11 am and 6 pm every day. The annual feast is scheduled on Monday, August 10th.
