Mangaluru, April 15 : Birth anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar was observed at Zilla Panchayat Hall here which was jointly organized by the DK District administration and Zilla Panchayat.
District In-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai inaugurated the programme. Speaking on this occasion he said, the messages and ideals of Dr B R Ambedkar is useful to the youth at all times.
Various achievers were felicitated and MLA JR lobo distributed the benefits to the eligible beneficiaries on this occasion.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA J R Lobo, Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim, MLC Ivan D’souza, were present along with other dignitaries on this occasion.
The dignitaries also garlanded the statue of Dr B R Ambedkar on this occasion.
Ambedkar Jayanthi was also celebrated in Congress office and in Mangaluru City Corporation.
