He was addressing a press meet at MUDA office on Monday February 23.
Lobo, emphasizing the need to make Kadri Park a tourist destination, said, “Kadri Park will be developed as a tourist spot of the city. Tender process will be started. Shopping stalls and footpaths will be constructed connecting the old deer park and the Kadri Park. Also, parking arrangements will be made at one corner.”

He also said that one corner of Kadri Park will be developed as a picnic spot. “The government has also been requested to grant Rs 40 lac in the upcoming budget for the toy train. This work will be completed within one year.
“For the maintenance of the park, entry fees will be collected. The formation of a society under the chairmanship of the deputy commissioner will be discussed with horticulture department and the district administration,” added Lobo.
