Mangalore, 5 Sep 2014: MLA J R Lobo honored his primary school teacher Sr Florita, who is spending her retirement at Rosa Mistica Convent, Gurpur – Kaikamba, near here on Friday September 5.
MLA Lobo recalled the support of his teacher Sr Florita and others during his studies in the convent-run primary school here. He said, ‘Sr Florita is one amongst his few teachers who are living now. Sr Florita was kind and loving,’ said MLA Lobo. He further said that he is paying his respects to teachers’ fraternity by honoring Sr Florita, said MLA Lobo.
Sr Florita in her acknowledgement said, ‘I have never concerned of remuneration whilst I was engaged as a teacher, but I have gotten the true remuneration through the noble deed in honoring me,’ said Sr Florita. ‘I feel my teaching career has been fruitful. Meanwhile, if all the teachers render selfless service they would get true happiness in life,’ said Sr Florita.
The local Congress leader T K Sudhir, Denis D’Silva, Ramanand Poojary, Nelson Monteiro, Mohan Mendon, Steven Maroli and Krutin Kumar were present on the occasion.
