Mangalore, Sep 13, 2014: More emphasis should be laid to strengthen Congress party activists. If the activists are assigned more responsibilities; it would possible for the party to come back to union rule, said Karnataka state science and IT minister S R Patil.

The minister Patil was speaking during the interactive meet with the party activists at Dakshina Kannada District Congress Committee (DCC) office here on Saturday September 13.

‘The party activists will get further opportunities in appointment of key posts in state-owned authorities, boards etc. It’s essential that a survey should be taken by the labor department to get the real figures of Kannadigas employed,’ said minister Patil. He further said that Karnataka is way ahead in IT, R & D in the entire country. It will soon become role model, said minister Patil.

DCC designated-president Ibrahim Kodijal presided the programme.
